Closing my Pool
The way your pool has been closed (hopefully by a Professional) has a direct impact on the level of attention it will need the following season before it is ready for use. The more care taken in the autumn can save a lot of time and money the following season.
We would typically carry out the following when closing a pool in the autumn:
- Disassemble pump and fittings
- Close down and drain filter and pump and pipe work etc
- Shock dose and add winterising chemicals to pool
- Drop level of pool to allow for rain water over winter
- Place & fit winter cover
- Clear pipes susceptible to frost
- Attach winter debris cover
